Radar Cross Section of Chipless RFID Tags and BER Performance

چکیده

The performance of different chipless RFID tag topologies are analysed in terms Radar Cross Section (RCS) and Bit Error Rate (BER). It is shown that the BER mainly determined by once a standard reading scenario considered fixed size chosen. arrangement resonators plays crucial role determining cross-polar RCS tag. computed theoretically using array theory where each resonator treated as separate scatterer completely characterized specific reflection coefficient. Several arrangements (periodic non-periodic) compared, keeping physical area fixed. Theoretical experimental analysis demonstrate periodic configuration guarantees maximum achievable thus providing global lower communication system. We believe more meaningful fair figure merit for comparing tags than bit/cm2 or bit/Hz since increase encoded information useful only if it can be correctly decoded.

Chipless Rfid Tags

a compact multi resonator circuit for Chipless rfid tag is presented in this paper. The basic resonator is a shorted λ/4 Stepped Impedance Resonator (SIR). The tag is designed and simulated using High Frequency Structure Simulator and a 6 bit prototype is fabricated on rtduroid(εr=2.2 and tanδ=.0008) Substrate in area of 4.5x2cm2. Data is coded as amplitude variations in the frequency domain. H...

Time-domain Measurement of Time-coded Uwb Chipless Rfid Tags

Chipless ultra-wideband (UWB) has been proposed as a low-cost alternative for radiofrequency identification (RFID). In this paper, a comprehensible theoretical introduction to time-domain operation of a UWB RFID tag is described, and a circuit model is proposed. For commercial applications low-cost RFID readers are demanded. To this end, this paper addresses the measurement of time-coded UWB ch...
